NCASPPB
The North Carolina Addictions Specialist Professional Practice Board has a mission to "protect the public health, safety, and welfare; to protect the public from being harmed by unqualified persons; and to assure the highest degree of professional care and conduct on the part of credentialed substance use disorder professionals."
The NCASPPB is the credentialing board one must register with to begin the process of obtaining the following licenses:
Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (formerly known as CSAC)
Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor)
Certified Criminal Justice Addictions Professional (Criminal Justice Addictions Professional)
